Alex Anski
A journalist and stage performer in both theatre and cinema, radio and television host. Currently works at Kan – the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation.
Ansky began his stage career at an early age, playing children roles at the Habima National Theatre as well as The Cameri Theatre.
He is a graduate of Habima Drama School, Tel Aviv, and RCA Institutes, New York, where he studied television directing, production, and studio operation.
In 1972, Ansky joined Galei Zahal, the IDF radio, as host of the morning show and host of the “Historical Hour” with Professor Michael Harsegor, as well as many other popular shows.
As part of his role at Galei Zahal, Ansky was head of the News Castor’s Department.
At 2020, Ansky joined The Classical station at Kan, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, where he hosts a daily morning show.
On top of a long and successful career in both radio and television, Ansky has also performed on the stage of many theatres, including Habima National Theatre, The Cameri Theatre, Haifa Theatre, Beer Sheba Theatre, The Actor’s Stage and 5 one-man shows, which he initiated and performed. His latest show, “Socrates – Apology” is being performed until today.
Awards
Five-time laureate of the Galei Zahal Commander Prize for 1981, 1986, 1989, 1991.
Laureate of the Ziv Prize for Journalism 1983.
The 2018 prize of Emy – The Israeli Union of performing Arts.
The 2019 Tel Aviv Municipality Honorary Citizen Award, for his contribution to the cultural life of Tel Aviv Yafo.
